Cause:
Customers are asking why there is no available thermal / heat dissipation rating for the XB005XPDR in the tech specs
Resolution:
There is NO thermal / heat dissipation for the XB005XPDR. The unit does not have loses since this is a DC to DC battery charging system; the heat dissipation is negligible since there are no losses due to conversion.
Thermal dissipation will vary and would depend on internal resistance of batteries so if the batteries are kept on float voltage, there is less than 1 watt of heat generated as the batteries age and during charge and recharge cycle there may be losses thru internal resistance of battery which would be higher as the battery ages.
