Changing the Preferred Multi-Factor Authentication Method

You can change your mobile number and/or the preferred MFA method at any time by visiting your  profile and updating your preferences:

  1. Log in to the Identity Management application with your existing valid credentials.
  2. On the top right corner, click Profile. The My Profile page is displayed: MFA
  3. Click Two-Factor Authentication, then enter your password and click Confirm. MFA
  4. The Two-Factor Authentication page is displayed, and you will be able to update your preferences or selected choices.

Resetting MFA Method if the Device is Lost

If you lose access to your device or are unable to use your configured Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method (e.g., SMS, Google Authenticator, or Auth0 Guardian), you can still log in using either:

  1. The recovery code provided during MFA registration, or
  2. Your registered email address

However, if you wish to reset and configure a new MFA method of your choice, you must request a reset through the IdM Support team. Please refer to the MFA Reset Procedure for detailed steps. To log in using an MFA bypass, follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Log in to the Identity Management application using your valid username and password.
  2. When prompted to authenticate with your MFA method, click Try another method: MFA
  3. Select Recovery code as the alternative method:
    MFA
  4. Enter the recovery code that was displayed and saved during your initial MFA registration, then click Continue:

    MFA

  5. Upon successful verification of your recovery code, you will be prompted to save a new recovery code. Make sure to copy and securely store the new code.

🔐 Note: Recovery codes are critical for account recovery. The codes should always be stored securely and never shared with anyone.

MFA Reset Procedure

  1. You need to send a request to the IdM Support team, Secure_Identity-L2@schneider-electric.com (typically via email)
  2. Make sure the request is sent from your registered email address to verify your identity.
  3. Once your identity is confirmed, the support team will reset your MFA settings.
  4. The next time you log in, you’ll be prompted to configure a new MFA method.
