Lexium Cobot Controllers facing Modbus TCP server issue

Description
On Lexium Cobot Controller SV 27.0 with firmware version v2.7.0.73, the integrated Modbus TCP server may fail to respond to connection requests.
As a result, any attempt to establish a Modbus TCP connection from external clients is rejected by the controller, preventing communication with the Modbus TCP server.

Affected Lexium Cobot Controllers
• Cabinet Controller LXMRL03C1000 SV27.0 with FW2.7.0.73
• Cabinet Controller LXMRL07C1000 SV27.0 with FW2.7.0.73
• Cabinet Controller LXMRL12C1000 SV27.0 with FW2.7.0.73
• Compact Controller LXMRL00C2000 SV27.0 with FW2.7.0.73

The SV is indicated on the controller label.

Q&A:

- How can I identify if my controller needs the patch?
Any attempt to connect to the Modbus server will fail on controllers running SV 27 and FW 2.7.0.73 that have not received the patch.

- My application doesn't require Modbus server on Lexium Cobot. Do I need to install the patch?
The patch only fixes the Modbus server issue. If your application does not require it, the patch does not need necessarily to be installed.

- How can I confirm the patch was installed successfully?
The message "Patch installation successful" will be displayed in the log.

- What happens if I try to install the patch on a controller with a non-listed SV or firmware version?
The patch checks SV and firmware before installation. If they are not compatible, the patch will not be applied and the following message will be logged:
"Patch not applicable. Installation skipped"

- Do I need to reinstall the patch after upgrading the Lexium Cobot firmware?
No. The patch is permanently applied to the system and does not need to be reinstalled after a firmware upgrade.
