What are the toolbar options available in the Curves and Selectivity window in EcoSet Design?
The Curves and Selectivity window provide several toolbar options that help users navigate, analyses, and customize protection curves during selectivity studies.
1. Select Tool (Arrow Cursor)
Purpose: Select and interact with objects on the graph.
Usage: Select curve labels.
- Access and review displayed information.
- Navigate within the graph without modifying settings.
2. Pan Tool (Hand Icon)
Purpose: Move around the graph without changing the zoom level.
Usage:
- Click the Pan icon.
- Click and drag the graph to move to another area.
- Useful when analysing large current or time ranges.
3. Zoom In
Purpose: Increase the magnification of the graph.
Usage:
- Focus on a specific section of the protection curves.
- Analyse curve intersections more accurately.
- Review selectivity in a narrow fault-current range.
4. Zoom Out
Purpose: Decrease the magnification of the graph.
Usage:
- View the complete protection study.
- Compare multiple protection devices within a broader range.
5. Resize(Maximize View)
Purpose: Automatically fit all displayed curves into the available graph area.
Usage:
- Quickly return to the default graph view.
- Useful after multiple zoom operations.
6. Export Graph (Image Icon)
Export as jpeg or pdf.
Purpose: Capture and export the displayed protection curves as an image.
Usage:
- Save selectivity studies for reports.
- Share analysis results with customers or colleagues.
- Include curve screenshots in technical documentation.
7. Coordinates
Purpose:
Display the corresponding time and current values at a selected or pointed location on the curve window.
Usage:
- Move the cursor over the curve or select a specific point.
- The tool displays the corresponding Time and Current values for that location.
- Useful for accurately analysing and comparing points on the curve.
8. Time difference
Purpose: Select any two points, and the corresponding time difference will be displayed.
Usage:
- Measure Event Duration: Click on any two points to instantly calculate the time difference between them.
- Analyse Timeline Trends: Compare two points on the graph to understand the elapsed time and sequence of events.
