How can I mount the VW3A1101 keypad further than 30 feet away from an Altivar Drives?
Issue:
Customer needs to mount the VW3A1101 keypad further than the recommended 30 feet away from the drive.
Product line:
VW3A1101 keypad and all drives it is used with.
Environment:
All models and serial numbers
Cause:
Non-standard installation. The maximum recommended distance using our supplied cables is 30 feet.
Resolution:
Please see attached drawing. It will be necessary to add in a splitter, coupler, and external 10VDC power supply capable of 100ma of current or greater. These are generic parts that are widely available.
