Resolving System Information Code 3154 During Edge Certificate Installation

Overview

This article provides guidance for troubleshooting System Information Code 3154 (Metadata 31) encountered when loading an Edge application certificate using Remote Connect on a SCADAPack device.

Issue Description

After loading the Edge application certificate through Remote Connect:

• The system displays Code 3154
• Metadata value: 31

Possible Causes

• Operator Selector Mode not set correctly
• Invalid or corrupted certificate

Certificate not properly applied to the system

Resolution Steps

Step 1: Verify Device Configuration

Ensure the following before proceeding:

• The Operator Selector Mode is set to F mode
• The certificate being used is valid

If there is any uncertainty about the certificate, regenerate and use a fresh copy.

Step 2: Reset Diagnostics

Click on Reset Diagnostics in Remote Connect.

Recheck the System Information Code.

Expected Result

• The code should reset to 0

Step 3: Evaluate the Result

Case 1: Code is NOT 0

• Attempt to reload the certificate manually

Case 2: Code is 0

• Proceed to validate the certificate manually using SSH

Step 4: Validate Certificate via SSH

Connect to the Device

1. Open PuTTY (or any SSH client).
2. Connect via USB using the following IP: 10.2.3.4
3. Log in with:
• Username: root
• Password: (configured password)

Verify Certificate Installation

Run the following command:

ls -la /mnt/sec_data/rauc/certs; cat /mnt/sec_data/rauc/certs/integrator.crt
