Solution:
An SRT 5K and 6K UPS will come with a metal cover for its screen upon unboxing.
The reason behind this is that the screen is attached directly to the battery door of the UPS and accidents can occur at first time installing the batteries if the UPS as the door can swing and make the screen bump and possibly cause permanent / physical damage. This is most common on SRT 5K and 6K UPS chassis.
In order to remove this cover, one must first locate 4 screws from the battery door and 1 from the metallic cover itself (to prevent it from swinging open). These screws will need to be removed.
Once the screws have been removed, the battery door can be slid to the left to be unlocked. After unlocking it, the battery door will be able to swing open which in turn can allow you to remove the screen metallic cover from being latched onto it.
