Issue:
Supply Mains Overvoltage Fault (OSF) on the Altivar Process Drive

Product Line:
Altivar Process Drives (ATV630, ATV930, ATV650, ATV950, ATV660, ATV960, ATV680, ATV980)

Environment:
All serial numbers for Altivar 600 and 900 Process Drive

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:
This fault appears when the nominal voltage exceeds the maximum value of the drive

Possible Remedies:

Check Supply Line Voltage
- Check for Power Factor Correction Capacitors
Measure DC Bus Voltage (PA+ and PC-) On an ATV630 these terminals are located behind a black sticker
- Check for any additional or DC generating device next to the drive
If there is an IT system, (High Leg Delta or Corner Grounded), suggest to disconnect the EMI filter and then power cycle the drive and see if the fault returns..
- Measure each incoming phase to ground to be sure whether you have a high leg. If so, that high leg could be overcharging the EMI filter capacitors, and in turn, overcharging the DC bus
