After the “Repair” of the Control Expert why the applications (*.sta/*.stu) unable to open that contains the DFB with “Hardened Encryption”?
Control Expert V15 along with the [HF] ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R is required to protecting a DFB from “READ” or “READ/WRITE” access using the new “hardened encryption” feature.
Such application is not compliant with all the Unity Pro version, Control Expert version <V15, Control Expert versionV15 without ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R.
Repair causes a value changed inside the registry key and the ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R (HF) is considered as no more present, even if we check from the Control Expert Help under the Technical information, we can see that the HF is installed.
Therefore, the STA and STU application file previously built is no more compliant and unable to be opened.
To solve this issue, it is mandatory to re-install the [HF] ControlExpert_V150_HF0627752R, to do that please contact your support.
Note: Repair will cause the values inside the registry keys to go back to default values and that would make the previous installed HF invalid.
