Selector switches sometimes need contacts added in the field.
Resolution:
For a traditional HAND/OFF/AUTO selector switch function wherein one contact is closed only in the left hand position, no contacts are closed in the middle position, and a second independent contact is closed only in the right hand position, use a 9001KA1 contact block on the back of the 9001KS43/9001SKS43 selector switch. With this particular switch (which uses a C cam), the NC contact will be closed only in the left hand position (HAND), the NO contact will be closed only in the right hand position (AUTO), and no contacts will be closed in the middle position (OFF).
