Which faults are NOT covered by Fault Inhibition on the ATV61 drive?
Resolution:
Fault Inhibition on the ATV61 drive can suppress the display of certain software-related faults only. It is designed for operational convenience, not for protecting the drive from damage.
Important limitations:
- Critical, internal, and hardware faults cannot be inhibited. These faults remain active even when Fault Inhibition (INH) is enabled, to ensure the drive is protected from serious damage.
- Fault Inhibition works only for the specific faults listed in the ATV61 programming manual.
Faults that can be inhibited
The following faults may be inhibited and cleared remotely using a logic input or control bit via the [Fault inhibit assign] (InH) parameter:
EnF, InFA, InFb, SOF, SPF, tnF, APF, CnF, COF, EPF1, EPF2, FCF2, Fd1, LFF2, LFF3, LFF4, nFF, ObF, OHF, OLC, OLF, OPF1, OPF2, OSF, OtF1, OtF2, OtFL, PHF, PtF1, PtF2, PtFL, SLF1, SLF2, SLF3, SPIF, SSF, tJF, ULF, USF
Faults that cannot be inhibited
All other critical, internal, or hardware-related faults (for example: SCFx, ILx, INFE, CRFx) will always remain active, even if Fault Inhibition is turned on.
