How can we help you today?

What could cause an ATV61 or ATV71 drive not to start when a run command is present on LI1?

Resolution:

Check the status bar at the top of the display to determine whether the drive is in LOC or REM mode.

  • If the drive is in LOC mode, verify whether any Function Key (F1, F2, F3, or F4) is assigned to T/K. If so, press the assigned key to return the drive to REM mode.

If the drive is already in REM mode, measure the voltage between LI1 and COM (not ground) and verify that approximately 24 VDC is present.

Verify that the drive is configured for terminal control:

  • Drive Menu → 1.6 Command → Cd1 = Terminals

Check the I/O Map to verify that LI1 is being detected by the drive:

  • Drive Menu → 1.2 Monitoring → I/O Map → Logic Inputs Map
