Where should the dial be set on an LR*D* overload relay?
Issue:
How to set the amperage on a TeSys D overload relay

Product Line:
IEC Overload Relays - GIC Product

Environment:
US Product

Cause:
Installation

Resolution:
These overloads take into account a standard 1.15-1.25 service factor, and the dial setting is 125% FLA.  For motors with these service factors the amp dial should be set as close to the motor nameplate full load current as possible.
Outside of this range we recommend reaching out to the motor manufacturer for a recommended multiplier.
