What is Fallback on the TeSys T and how do the different options operate?

Resolution:
Fallback mode refers to the state the device goes in to when communication is lost. If communication port loss fault is enabled a fault will occur, otherwise the fallback mode will control the behavior of your device.

The default option is LO1, LO2 off - this indicates that the outputs used to control the motor will be in the off state any time communication is lost.
Other options are:

• Hold LO1, LO2 - the state of these contacts will remain the same as before the fault occurred (on if they were already on, or off if they were off)
• Run (2-step) or off - the device will follow the local commands issued to either run or be off in 2-step operating modes
• LO1, LO2 on (ovld, ind, cust) or off - the device will follow the local commands issued to either be on or off in overload, independent, and custom operating modes
• LO1 on or off (2-step) - the device will follow local commands issued for LO1 to be on or off
• LO2 on or off (2-step) - the device will follow local commands issued for LO2 to be on or off

Note that an IP master address must be configured for fallback to function.  Also, it is necessary that communication is established between the Tesys T and the IP master device and the Tesys has received at least one valid command from the IP master.  The fallback function will not operate unless these conditions have been met.
