What is the difference between the shunt XF coil and the shunt XF-COM coil?
Issue:
XF & XFCOM technical differences
Product Line:
Molded Case Circuit Breaker
Resolution:
The shunt close (XF) remotely closes the circuit breaker if the spring mechanism is charged. Once voltage is present on the coil, it will close the breaker.
The shunt close with communications (XF-COM) needs a third hot wire from a different power source. This needs constant control voltage and must be connected via the circuit breaker communication module (BCM). it allows the closing of the breaker through comms.
