No. Ventilated and NonVentilated Transformers are intended to be installed on a flat surface, usually a flat concrete pad outdoors, or the flat concrete floor of an interior Electrical Room. A flat expanse of concrete area distributes the weight of the Transformer evenly across the ENTIRE bottom surfaces of the enclosure, and the whole Transformer and enclosure assembly is thus properly supported. This principle of FLAT surface, thus evenly distributed weight, should be maintained for all installations of our Ventilated Transformers. The installation area is usually concrete, but could also be steel structure or other material with enough supporting surface area that would face the entire bottom area of the enclosure, thus supporting the weight of the Transformer properly and evenly. Springs or shock absorbers mounted in each corner of the enclosure itself do not accomplish the proper weight distribution.
