What do 3P2T, 3P3T, 4P3T, and 4P4T mean in regard to circuit breakers?

Issue:
What do the P (pole) and T (trip) ratings mean for Merlin Gerin breakers?

Product Line:
Merlin Gerin

Resolution:
P is for number of poles and T is for number of protected poles (poles capable of initiating a trip).

Example: A 3P2T would be a 3 pole circuit breaker with 2 protected poles. All poles open, close, and trip together.
