What is taped thru bus on switchboards?

Issue:

I'm searching for a good explanation to provide my customer as to what is Taped Thru Bus

Product Line:

Low Voltage Switchboards

Environment:

QED-2

Resolution:

The taped t-bus provides the order with a shrink wrap made of thermoplastic material that goes around the horizontal t-bus, along with splices (connections that go from section to section). It is a plastic sleeve that goes over the horizontal bus bars only. What it does is isolate the busbars and helps with the SCCR in the board. It does not, however, help with heat dissipation.
