How can an external error input (run‑permissive) be programmed on the ATS480 soft starter?

First, set your Access Level to Standard or Expert in Menu 10: My Preferences so all necessary configuration options are visible.

Next, navigate through the keypad or SoMove using the following path:

[Complete settings] (CST-)

→ [Error/Warning handling] (CSH-)

→ [External error] (ETF-)

Under External Error Assign (EtF), select the digital input where your permissive signal is wired (for example, DI3).

Make sure the active state is configured correctly—verify whether your permissive is wired for active low or active high, and adjust the setting accordingly.
