SF6-free medium voltage devices for 36kV
The 4-year LIFE36KVSF6FREE project aims to provide a range of 36 kV switchgears using air to eliminate the currently used SF6, which has a high GWP.
This involves the development of a range of 36 kV switchgears for both primary and secondary distribution without using any other gas than air, neither SF6 nor any other gas with a low GWP and the demonstration of its reliability to all market players.
The project, scheduled to be carried out from July 2023 to June 2027, has a budget of €3M with up to 60% being financed by LIFE program of the European Commission (grant agreement no. 101113695).
