Ecostruxure Process Expert[2021]: Why Alarm is showing the acknowledge time instead of triggered time?
This knowledge base article explains user on Why alarm is showing the acknowledge time instead of triggered time and how to rectify it. This document is applicable for all versions of Ecostruxure Process Expert.
By default the Alarm field {Time} in Alarm page or Alarm log will show the triggered time initially when alarm is generated and when User acknowledges it then the time will be replaced by Acknowledged time.
This will create confusion for some customers and requests not replace the time with acknowledge time.
The solution is to set the INI parameter Alarm[SetTimeOnAck] to 0.
Determines whether the {Time} field in your Alarm Display and Alarm Log Device contains the time when an alarm is triggered, or the time when the alarm is acknowledged.
When this parameter is enabled and the operator acknowledges an alarm, the {Time} field on the alarm page (and associated with the alarm record) is changed to the current time. If you want the {Time} field to remain at the time when the alarm was triggered, set this parameter to 0.
Note: This parameter has no effect on the Alarm Summary Display and Alarm Summary Device, which have separate {OnTime} and {AckTime} fields.
