How can we help you today?
How do you order a Class 8903 Type L lighting contactor with normally closed power poles?
Issue:
Ordering normally closed power poles from the factory instead of field conversion.

Product Line:
8903 type L and LX lighting contactors

Environment:
US Products

Resolution:
In order to order normally closed power poles from the plant the part number indicating the number of poles is modified.
The numbers after the L_ or LX_ indicate the number of poles, the first digit(s) are the normally open poles and the next digit(s) are the normally closed poles.
The electrically held devices are available with up to 12 N.C. poles (8 can be field converted, for more it has to be done from the factory).
Mechanically held devices are available with 2, 4, or 6 n.c. poles (maximum of 6 can be converted in the field).

For example an 8903LO60 has six normally open poles, an 8903LO42 still has 6 poles but 4 are normally open and 2 are normally closed.
With the 10 and 12 pole devices the part numbers would look a little different, the first two digits are the normally open poles and the second two are the normally closed poles.
A 10 pole device with 0 n.o. contacts and 10 n.c. contacts would be part number 8903LO0010
(This is available as factory build only and contacts are not field convertible. Also applies to the 12 poles N.C. devices 8903LO0012)
