Generating PUE report from Web Application
Cause
User would like to know how to generate PUE report and learn how the report calculates PUE.
Resolution
A video is attached which describes a step-by-step procedure on how to generate and configure PUE reports.
Note: As of PME 9.0 the Reports tab layout looks different. However, the actual report parameters are unchanged.
PUE calculation:
PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness): The ratio between the data center and IT equipment energy measurement values.
This value is calculated for each of the required time periods by the following formula:
PUE = Sum of DataCenter Energy / Sum of IT Equipment Energy
IT Equipment – The average of the IT equipment power measurement values for each of the
time periods.
Data Center - The average of the data center power measurement values for each of the time
periods.
