For M221 controller range, it is possible to check application checksum through system words %SW94-%SW95
%SW94 -%SW95 , this is a Checksum  of the application
the values  of %SW94-%SW95 content can be seen/read either connected to the real M221 PLC or also  in simulation mode  ( the values will be the same in both case)
so for each application he can register the checksum
