Is the OFS compatible with Windows 10 LTSB?

Issue
Windows 10 LTSB is used in the most part of the Industrial PC and customers want to know if this version of Windows is compatible with OFS.

Resolution
The Windows 10 LSTB short for Long Term Servicing Branch  version is built on the same framework than Windows 10 Enterprise Edition. So, any software compatible with a standard Windows 10 distribution will also run properly on Windows 10 LTSB that has been develop for critical infrastructure like ATMs, Medical Equipment and PC that controls machines on a factory. These applications does not need extra features, they need long term stability and few updates that is the purpose of the Windows 10 LSTB including the resource to choose the features you need in your OS.  E.g., Windows 10 LSTB does not have the Windows Store or Microsoft Edge browser.

So, a PC with Windows Embedded is compatible with OFS if it follows the standard requirements of the software described below:

Install Prerequisite
The Microsoft .Net framework v3.5 SP1 must be installed. If not, the OFS setup stops installing.
Preparing to Install
In Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, you need administrator rights to install OFS.
OFS runs on a PC that meets the following minimum standards:

• either a 32-bit or a 64-bit platform
• Minimum RAM of 4 Gb
