1) Create a new Vijeo Designer application.
2) Create a new variable.
3) Create a new text resource.
4) You can add a variable to a message using this syntax

5) Create an Event group.
6) Add an Event Summary to a panel.
7) Add a numeric entry field for testing purposes.
8) Create a periodic action to trigger the event.
9) Use the Vijeo Designer simulator to test that application.
