Schneider Electric as a partner in an R&D collaborative project
IdEAS
The 3-year IdEAS (Interoperability of Automation Equipment for Substations) project is focused on the development and demonstration of a global solution for HV/MV substations provided with IEC61850 in the Integrated Protection and Control System. In line with this objective, the goals of IdEAS technical activities are to:
- - Design and develop a control and protection system for electrical substations according to IEC 61850, with interchangeability of IED (intelligent electronic devices)
- - Increase functional and communications capacities of electrical substations
- - Provide integral, meditated and viable application of the IEC 61850 standard
- - Enhance interoperability of control and protection equipment of substations
The developments will cover all the lines associated with a new automation system, including specification of interoperability profiles, both functional and for equipment.
Co-funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Commission (European Regional Development Fund) under “Retos Colaboración 2016” program (RTC-2016-4622-3), this project has a €1.03M budget and will last from April 2016 to December 2018.
Partners: Endesa Distribución Eléctrica, Fundación CIRCE, Schneider Electric, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, and Siemens.
