Climate Week NYC is the largest annual climate event of its kind, bringing together over 600 events and activities across the City of New York – in person, hybrid and online. Each year, business leaders, political change makers, local decision takers and civil society representatives of all ages and backgrounds, from all over the world, gather to drive the transition, speed up progress, and champion change that is already happening.
Climate Week NYC is hosted by Climate Group, an international non-profit whose purpose is to drive climate action, fast. Climate Group hosts the official program during the week that brings together the most senior international figures from business, government, civil society and the climate sector.
This year, Climate Week NYC is being held from September 22-29, 2024. The event takes place every year in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly and is run in coordination with the United Nations and the City of New York.

Esther FINIDORI
Chief Sustainability OfficerEsther Finidori is the Chief Sustainability Officer of Schneider Electric. She leads the company’s sustainability strategy, commitments, and engagements, from corporate citizenship and institutional affairs to sustainability performance and environmental impact. Previously at Schneider Electric, she held the position of France Operations Strategy VP, where she drove influence, commercial strategy, sales excellence, and circular economy initiatives. She also served in various sustainability roles, including Group Environment VP, where she played an instrumental role in shaping and executing the company’s environmental initiatives, solidifying its position as a recognized sustainability leader. Before joining Schneider Electric in 2016, she worked as an environmental consultant, specializing in climate change and energy transition. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and a Master of Philosophy in Technology Policy from the Judge Business School of Cambridge University.Read more
Jean-Pascal TRICOIRE
ChairmanJean-Pascal Tricoire is the Chairman of Schneider Electric. He previously served as COO of Schneider from 2003, CEO from 2006 to 2013, and Chairman and CEO from 2013 to 2023. Under Jean-Pascal’s leadership, Schneider has transformed and become a technology company leading in software, sustainability, digitization, and electrification. As CEO, he redefined the company’s purpose and technology portfolio, quadrupling Schneider’s revenues across its balanced geographical footprint. Jean-Pascal joined Schneider Electric in 1986 and held various positions across France, Italy, China, South Africa, the United States and Hong Kong. In 2001, he first joined the company’s Executive Committee to take charge of Schneider’s international division. Jean-Pascal also serves as an independent director on the board of Qualcomm. He is a director of the worldwide board of the United Nations Global Compact, a United Nations #HeForShe Corporate IMPACT champion and a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum as well as the Asia Business Council. He is also a member of the board of trustees of Northeastern University. Jean-Pascal is a member of the International Advisory Council of the Singapore Economic Development Board and a member of the advisory councils of Shanghai, Beijing, and Hong Kong. He led the France-China Business Council from 2009 to 2019. He is a Knight of the Legion of Honor and an Officer of the National Order of Merit in France. Caspar HERZBERG
Chief Executive Officer - AVEVACaspar Herzberg has been Chief Executive Officer of AVEVA since March 2023 and is a member of the Schneider Electric Executive Committee. Before becoming CEO, he served as AVEVA’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer. He previously led Schneider Electric’s business in more than 80 countries as President, Middle East & Africa, and has spent more than 25 years in the technology industry, including senior leadership positions at Cisco and Accenture. He is also an experienced military officer, having achieved the rank of Major (Reserve) in the German Federal Armed Forces. Caspar is the author of Smart Cities, Digital Nations and holds an MSc in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and a BA in Arabic & Modern Middle Eastern Studies from St. Anne’s College, University of Oxford.
