What causes an OSF (mains overvoltage fault) on the ATV61 and ATV71 drives?

Issue:
OSF Mains Overvoltage fault on the ATV61 and ATV71 drives.

Product Line:
Altivar ATV61 and ATV71

Environment:
All

Cause:
Mains overvoltage fault on power up.

Resolution:
OSF is a Mains Overvoltage Fault.
- The Line voltage can be to high.

You can check the Mains voltage with a digital meter on L1 L2 L3.  Measure the AC voltage phase to phase. Be sure that you are measuring the voltage on the terminals of the drive.
You can also check the mains voltage value in monitoring menu 1.2. Measure the DC bus ( PA/+ to PC/-)
Power cycle the drive to see if the fault will clear. If it does clear, you may want to consider turning on Automatic Restart or possibly adding a input line reactor.

Note: Automatic Restart - This is only possible for control type [2/3 wire control] (tCC) = [2 wire] (2C) and [2 wire type] (tCt) = [Level] (LEL) or [Fwd priority] (PFO).
