What can cause an error code ACF1 or AFE control loop fault 1 on the ATV680 and ATV980 drives?
Issue:
Cause of ACF1 or AFE control loop fault 1 on the ATV680 and ATV980 drives.

Product Line:
ATV680 and ATV980 drives

Environment:
All

Cause:
Probable cause:
- Low mains voltage
- Unstable mains voltage
- Output power to high

Resolution:
DC link capacitor protection against overload
Principle:
If the mains voltage is on a low limit the modulation rate of the AFE increase, to protect the DC link capacitors the error ACF1 occurs. This fault occurs after xxx min. in the limit.

Drives with activated DC Boost (DC voltage fixed to 770V), in this case the drive will detect the error when the mains voltage is to low (over longer duration), or the output power
is to high due to the DC voltage boost.

Probable cause:
- Low mains voltage
- Unstable mains voltage
- Output power to high

Remedies:
- Check the mains voltage value, and the quality of the mains
- DC boost active: check the output current/power limitation parameter.
