Where is the ENM Tool installation file in PME 2020 and later? Does it need a separate license?

Issue
A PME system with ENM 8.3 is being upgraded from PME 9.0 or earlier to PME 2020 or later, and there is no separate Event Notification Module installer in the PME .iso file.

Environment
Event Notification Module

Cause
In PME 2020, the Event Notification Module (ENM) was been completely redesigned. ENM now includes a notification engine that seamlessly integrates with PME for alarm-based notification, so there is no separate ENM installation file.

Resolution
ENM configuration is now located in the Web Applications. An alarm view must first be created under the Alarms tab, then the notification rules can be configured under the Settings tab > Alarms > Notifications.

Note:

  • For PME 2023 or earlier, a separate Event Notification Module license is required to enable the module. If the license is not active, the Settings > Alarms > Notifications section is not visible.
  • For PME 2024, the base license now includes Event Notification Module so a separate license is no longer required.
