Schneider Electric presents a Framework Towards Net-Zero Buildings developed in conjunction with WEF to accelerate the investment needed to deliver a greener urban built environment.

We are calling for an urgent rethink of investment priorities and greater collective action to spur on global climate change efforts at the upcoming World Economic Forum in Davos.

Recent modeling by Schneider ElectricTM Sustainability Research Institute shows that stimulating a demand-led transition is the only scenario in which emissions will fall fast enough to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees. This eBook recognizes the struggle governments and industry face to balance the costs of the energy transition with any additional burden on communities, particularly in the current unpredictable climate, and provides a practical roadmap.

It features an operational checklist for buildings developed in conjunction with WEF which presents a model to accelerate investment to decarbonize our cities. Importantly, the framework emphasizes the need to unlock value for all. With an emphasis on existing technologies combined with digital that can abate carbon and deliver a net benefit to consumers, creating value for the economy and communities.
