Issue:
HMI does not boot and shows a blue error: "Application Has Halted.. Memory allocation failed.. KAOScore:NonPortableMisc.cpp : line 709"
Product Line:
Harmony (formerly known as Magelis) XBTGH/GK/GT, HMIGTO/STO/STU, iPC
Resolution:
The error is often a sign that the HMI has exceeded the amount of DRAM available. A common case where this happens is when the HMI is programmed as part of a Somachine project. We recommend only sharing Somachine variables in the Symbols Configurator that are to be used by the HMI. In general, Somachine variables tend to use more memory. Therefore the recommendation is to go with a Harmony / Magelis screen that has more DRAM. For example HMIGTO or HMIGTU series.
