Cause
Power Monitoring Expert 9.0 now supports Active Directory, allowing users to log in using their Windows credentials. This feature can be used to access the PME web page using a Single Sign On method, which bypasses the login screen altogether.

Resolution
In order to enable Single Sign On, the user must first be added as a Windows User or be part of an Active Directory Group that has been added as a Windows Group in the PME User Manager. See Page 849 of the Power Monitoring Expert 9.0 System Guide for more information about setting up Windows Users and Groups in PME: FA358303

Once Windows Users are added to PME, verify they are able to log in using their Windows credentials.

To enable Single Sign On:
  1. Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
  2. Expand the tree on the left-hand side. Sites > Default Web Site > Web
  3. In the main window, double-click Authentication.
  4. Right-click on Forms Authentication and select Edit.
  5. Change the Login URL from /SystemDataService/Auth to /SystemDataService/Auth/Auto.
  6. Click Okay to close the Window.
  7. Restart IIS.

Now when the user navigates to https://servername/Web they will bypass the login screen and automatically be logged into the PME Web page with their Windows account.
