Workaround to Link Meter to Template/Generic Diagram in Power Monitoring 7.x if Firmware Version is Below Supported Level

Issues:
The supported firmware levels for StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.x (SPM) are the same as they were in 6.0 SP1. A symptom of an unsupported firmware version is that a grouping object on a Vista diagram will not be able to automatically link to the generic template for the meter type. Vista will instead pop up an error which says "A generic diagram for the selected device could not be found."

For example, for a Circuit Monitor 4000 (CM4) with a firmware version below 14.4, the following message will be displayed:

Error message

Product Line:
StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7, Power Monitoring Expert 7.2, 8.0, Energy Management Solutions

Environment:

Vista

Cause:
A symptom of an unsupported firmware version

Resolution:
To workaround this issue, the grouping object can manually be pointed to the appropriate diagram. To do this:

(1) Right-click the icon.

(2) Select the Action tab.

(3) Select the Open User Diagram radial button and then click Browse.
User Diagram

(4) Browse to \Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ION Enterprise\config\diagrams\ud\default and select the appropriate diagram for the meter and configuration, for example, CM4_FAC-delta_V1.1.4 for three-wire delta systems or CM4_FAC-4WYE_V1.1.4 for four-wire wye.
