Shitiz Agarwal

Shitiz has over 18 years of experience in strategic planning, business transformation and operations management in the energy and digital automation market. He has held global positions at Schneider Electric in India, Africa, Hong Kong, Middle East, and currently leads Canada’s Power Systems Business, sales and operations. Shitiz is passionate about sales transformation and implementing market penetration strategies to drive profitable growth for the business, while improving efficiencies and providing customers with a connected experience. He believes in providing tailored solutions to customer and help them become more sustainable and digital. He is actively engaged in the Mississauga Board of Trade and is a core member of their environment, sustainability and infrastructure committee. Shitiz is also the executive sponsor of the Women in Schneider Electric (WiSE) network to help drive the empowerment, diversity and inclusivity of women and allies at Schneider Electric and among partners in Canada.
Claire Guichard
Claire has 20 years of experience in human resources management and has served as an HR business partner at Schneider Electric in several business environments, including supply chain and logistics as well as innovation teams in various lines of business, before joining Team Canada in September 2021. Her experience spans continents – she has led Schneider Electric’s HR organization in France, managing a regional scope in Europe to a global scope, including India & China. Claire believes the true value of HR is to bring the business, its leaders, and the workforce together as one. She and her team continually seek best-in-class programs and services to offer employees high levels of flexibility, well-being, inclusion, and engagement. She is also passionate about change management, agile transformation, and the journey through the sense of belonging in employer branding.
Hugo Lafontaine
Hugo is responsible for Schneider Electric's smart building and digital power business and oversees the EcoStruxure Building solution, a scalable platform that allows users to monitor, manage and control building operations on one central system. Hugo has nearly 20 years of experience in the building systems and building automation markets and is passionate about optimizing digital platforms and solutions to drive smart-building innovation. He has participated in several panel discussions and has been featured in trade media publications, including Electrical Industry Newsweek, Energy Manager Canada and Electrical Business.
Prior to Schneider Electric, Hugo held progressive positions as a Controls consultant, building automation integrator specialist as well as sales and marketing roles at Regulvar and Daikin Applied. Hugo has an Executive master’s degree in business management as well as a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and has served as a Board member of Continental Automated Buildings Association (CABA).
Frederick Morency
Frederick has been with Schneider Electric for 25 years and most recently served as Vice President, Services, where he orchestrated strong digital experiences between Schneider Electric’s partners, customers and core businesses. He has been a quarterback for Sustainability in Canada for many years, guiding the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments to support local decarbonization efforts at all 20 sites across the country. In addition to leading Schneider Electric’s decarbonization actions for the country, Frederick is also responsible for accelerating the company’s position in growth segments emerging with the energy transition.
David O’Reilly
Building on his extensive experience as an executive leader with national and international experience, David leads a team of professionals across Canada that are focused on delivering energy management products and solutions for both the Home and IT/Data Centre verticals. David is passionate about smart home technology, Prosumer advancement, as well as protecting the quality and availability of electrical power in critical infrastructure such as industrial plants, airports and healthcare. He has been featured in many media publications, including The Globe & Mail, Electrical Industry Newsweek, The Hill Times and Electrical Business.
Prior to Schneider, David was the Vice President, Enterprise Sales (Private Sector) at TELUS. In this role David was responsible for driving all revenue, profitability, client satisfaction and employee engagement for enterprise accounts. He also held previous positions at Sprint Canada, BCE, Netscape, and Deloitte.
David is also involved with Youth Hockey, the Royal Canadian Legion and the Royal Canadian Military Institute (RCMI).
Adrian Thomas
Adrian is seasoned and progressive leader, with over 20 years of experience in the electrical and automation industry. Adrian joined Schneider Electric in 2016, as the leader of the Building segment, and has since held multiple leadership roles including VP of Digital Energy, Low Voltage Power Systems, and most recently, VP of Home and Distribution, Power Products and Channel. He has been instrumental in bringing Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure to life in Canada, helping partners and businesses alike achieve their sustainability ambitions, and accelerating the company’s digitization journey and sustainable growth.
Adrian is passionate about creating positive impact with customers, employees and the community, and strives to leverage his deep expertise in technology to enable sustainable transformations. He is active in the Canadian industry through his work on the board of CAN/IEC, Electro-Federation Canada, and the National Electricity Roundtable.
Adrian is a champion of diversity and inclusion and believes both play an equally critical role in driving innovation, growth and agility. Through participation in boards like Coalition of Innovation Against Racism (CILAR), Adrian is working towards creating a more equitable work environment across the industry, thus creating the conditions for empowered individuals to lead change. He is also a strong advocate for supporting and developing the leaders of tomorrow with mentorships.
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Adrian held sales and leadership roles at General Electric and TMEIC Corporation. He holds an electrical engineering degree from McMaster University and a post-graduate certificate in finance for executives from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
