An exciting opportunity has arisen for a (Senior) Firmware Design Engineer (f/m/d) within the Industrial Automation Business. Your mission will be to support our current product development of existing offers inside the areas of motion technologies. In this position, you will prepare future offers with new technologies like TSN standards in combination with motion concepts. Your work field 

• As a (Senior) Firmware Design Engineer (f/m/d), you will implement marketing requirements and product design into software and consider internal specifications and rules on operational level. 
• In this position, you will create and synchronize specifications of software functions, -modules, -components both for internal implementation or giving away of orders to external partners 
• You will implement software functions and create test software. 

• As an expert in your field, you will define test processes, test descriptions, and verify success criteria for the development tests. 
• In addition, you will plan and execute tests on module-, component- and system level and optimize functional tests and test processes.

Your profile 

• The ideal candidate will hold a degree within the field of electrical engineering, computer science, automation technology or have an equivalent educational background. 
• As an expert, you should have high-level experience in cybersecurity, programming e.g. IEC 6-1131, Python, C# and C. and working with embedded real-time systems and firmware development (C++). 
• Solid knowledge in SQuORE, Klocwork and unit tests is beneficial. 

• It would be advantageous if you’re familiar with communication technologies such as Standard Ethernet, TSN, OPC UA FX and Sercos 3. 
• Your knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, Virtual Machine and Git is a big plus. 
• You enjoy working in an international team. 
• You are fluent in English with excellent verbal and written skills. German language skills are advantageous.
